Do you think water can burn?



Have you ever seen water burning? Yeah maybe you've seen alcohol (flaming) burning but that's a different thing all together.

If you haven't seen water burning before, check out the video below demonstrating how the trick is done. First you put two batteries into a cup of water for 30 minutes. Then take out the batteries and light the water with fire.



So after watching the video, what I assume is that the batteries reacted with the water after being submerge in the water for 30 minutes, and it releases some chemical reaction and produces ions. These ions are flamable therefore the water gets burn when it's lit up with fire.

I maybe wrong here but if you have a better explanation to this, feel free to share it with me as well as others.

LOL.. yea.. u're right the battery reacted with water through it's electrolyte.. LOL.. at first i read, i thought u were saying water can burn just liddat straight from the tap.. LoL..
